De Parme Design
Rug Silhouette designed by H.K.H. Princess Margarita de Bourbon de Parme (De Parme Design). The effect of light is central. The combination of wool and silk makes the pattern of the abstracted branches of a beech clearly visible. Silk lights up, whereas wool absorbs the light. Because of this contrast, it seems the carpet has a ton-sur-ton colour palette, while actually only one colour has been used. Ochre yellow.
In collaboration with I.C.E. International, De Parme Design joins an illustrious line of Dutch designers such as Mae Engelgeer, Claire en Roderick Vos, Kiki van Eijk, Piet Hein Eek and Joost van Bleiswijk.
