‘Tonkin’, designed by Eline, inspired by Hat (‘Tonkinoise’) of rips silk, edge decorated with ibis feathers.

‘The way the hat is photographed immediately caught my eye; the mysterious lighting and the coloured background in contrast with all the textures in the hat is just so inspiring. Another interesting element in the picture are the curves on the iron hat stand and the movement it adds to the overall piece. I combined this movement with the texture of the hat to a beautiful and perfectly balanced rug design. The gradational aspect of the rug is a translation of the lighting in the pictures, combining all these elements results in a texturized rug with an interesting movement.’
